Windvane

The emergence of the windvane as a decorative element

The windvane has always been a functional favorite as a wind instrument, but it has recently been seen exploding on to the design scene as a decorative element through clever pointer design and a sophisticated copper finish.

The evolution of the pointer

The pointer is the bit of the weathervane that actually moves. In traditional capacity the pointer has always been a rooster or an arrow, but more recently it has seen an evolution into things far more exciting, including a dancing pig with a martini glass and a fancy Chinese dragon.

What difference does copper make to your windvane?

Copper is a hardy metal that looks great and lasts a lifetime. It can withstand the pressure of the wind, and maintain its good looks through any weather. You can opt to have the pointer finished with a greened patina, or a varnished shine.
